Shannon has worked in private practice, government, human resources, education and regulation. Her practice included employment, commercial and family litigation.
Shannon also has extensive experience with teaching and training in adult education, especially continuing professional development for lawyers. She has taught and designed courses, assisted with the creation of competencies and testing, and managed a digital learning offering for a regulator. She has received excellent reviews on her engaging, interactive workshops on subjects including conflict resolution (in the workplace/dealing with clients and customers etc.), cultural sensitivity and diversity, negotiation and ethics.
Shannon continues to research and publish on issues such as building trust in situations of conflict as well as ethical issues in negotiation and mediation.
In her spare time, she has engaged in board work providing rich opportunities to help groups navigate through difficult issues with her diplomatic, yet efficient and resolute style. She has also volunteered at schools in both Toronto and New York.
Shannon completed a LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2002. She has also completed Master's Degrees in Law (LL.M. Dispute Resolution) and International Relations, as well as course work in management and e-learning design.
